The Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade (GCBBT) is a not-for-profit organization that is the voice of business in Corner Brook and the region. The GCBBT lobbies governments of all levels on behalf of its businesses members.
The strength of the Board of Trade is that it is business – its members know how to turn opportunities for business promotion, development, and growth, into deals; it can mobilize a single voice for business, and it believes business must provide leadership to the community and government for economic development.
The united voice of members expressed through the Chamber has a positive impact on issues facing business and the community at large in the Western Newfoundland region. The Chamber is also a vehicle for businesspeople from large and small businesses to connect and prosper together. The Chamber’s Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers representing various business sectors in our community. Board members have extensive experience and understanding which adds tremendous value to the organization.

The mission of the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade is “to help our business members do better business for the economic and social well being of the greater Corner Brook area”. This is accomplished by providing support such as information, training, networking, mentoring, and business promotion of opportunities; negotiating alliances; presenting a unified voice; and providing leadership on economic development issues which impact our members` ability to do better business, our community health, and our vision of success for the future.
